Mainframe Migration Roadmap

The majority of FAS business systems are hosted on the mainframe & have complex architectures and interfaces, which increases the costs to operate and maintain. FAS-IT has partnered with the business line system owners & OST to develop modernization strategies to migrate all systems off the mainframe by FY26. Each system’s to-be architecture & migration journey is unique to the business; however, FAS-IT has developed a framework for repeatable processes to implement the modernizations using cloud solutions & agile.

A high level roadmap for mainframe migration has been developed to show the timeline for when the mainframe can be shut off. More details of the systems' timelines can be found on the FAS-IT Modernization Roadmap.
