Data Services Blueprint
Data Services provide products that enable business domains and programs to consume and share data across the enterprise and manipulate data in a variety of ways to unlock its value. Products in the FCS data porfolio are conceived around a set of data capabilities that enable the full lifecycle of data operations, and supported by other foundational FCS platform services. Those capabilities are grouped into three main areas of focus that each of the products aligns to: Data Governance, Big Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence.
Data Governance – Data Governance procedures, activities, and tools aim to garner trust and utility in enterprise data. Both consumers and stewards of data need standard procedures and automation tools to make sense of vast stores of organizational data, to unlock data silos, to take stock of what's there, and to ensure secure and proper handling and access of that data.

Big Data Analytics - When very large datasets need to be run through model-training, summarized to aggregate values, or processed across their entire corpus, simple single-process programs and shared databases quickly become overwhelmed. The scalability and parallel processing of data processing clusters enable this type of efficient and high-performance big data analytics.
